A program of the Interstellar Institute is not a regular conference. It is a temporary laboratory, made to foster discussions, develop new projects, establish new collaborations. We love to hear about your recent discoveries, but we are also aiming at the next new ideas, the ones that do not exist yet. This is why these meetings leave ample time for discussion and working sessions.

The activities at these programs combine somewhat classical 🦜Talks sessions, with ⚡️Lightning, 💥Thunder, and a lot of impromptu discussion and working sessions of variable sizes and scopes.

This page describes various elements of the program. If there is something missing, or if you have questions, please do not hesitate to drop us a line on Slack.

Lodging

<aside>

Unfortunately our current budget does not allow us to reimburse lodging this year.

</aside>

There are various possibilities for accommodation, either in Orsay or in Paris (40-60 min commute by RER-B, depending where in Paris). In any case we recommend you to choose a location not too far from the RER-B line, so the daily commute will not cost too much time.

Institut Pascal has preferential rates at two hotels nearby. You can obtain these rates by contacting the hotels directly by email (see their websites - link below) and mentioning that you are attending Interstellar Institute 7 held at Institut Pascal.
